Welcome to earthside.
Welcome to your village.

You were never meant to do this alone.

Hi, I’m Nicola — mother of four, postpartum guide, and the founder of Earthside Postpartum.

My motherhood journey began in 2012, and over the years — through each birth, each newborn season, each moment of joy and exhaustion — I came to understand just how much support mothers truly need after baby arrives. Not just checklists and how-tos, but real, grounded connection. A village.

For over five years, I’ve worked in postpartum care with a special focus on breastfeeding support. I’m currently studying to become a certified breastfeeding consultant and deepening my knowledge of neuroprotective developmental care through the Possums Programme — a powerful, evidence-based approach that supports both babies and mothers with compassion and clarity.

In recent years, my family felt the pull to slow down and seek a more intentional way of living. That led me to the Northern Rivers, NSW — drawn by the sunshine, the land, and the promise of a simpler rhythm.

Earthside Postpartum is rooted in the belief that mothers deserve more than basic advice — they deserve a community. Our values run deep: holistic care, heartfelt connection, and the honoring of each mother’s unique journey. Through postpartum groups, guest expert gatherings, and warm, evidence-informed guidance, I’m here to walk alongside you in this powerful season of life.

Our Values

At Earthside Postpartum, our mission is to reconnect mothers with what they’ve always needed — a village.

I’m here to gently hold space for the tender, transformational journey that is early motherhood. Through circles, expert support, and heart-led guidance, I offer a place where mothers feel seen, heard, and reminded that they are not alone.

I don’t believe postpartum is something to “bounce back” from — it’s a sacred season of becoming.

  • I create spaces where mothers can be real — not perfect. Where mess, tears, laughter, and truth all belong.

  • I honour the whole of motherhood — body, mind, emotions, and spirit — with care that is grounded in evidence and guided by intuition.

  • I choose to slow down. To notice. To offer support in a way that doesn’t overwhelm, but nourishes and grounds.

  • I support the mother and the baby as a unit, not just individuals — honouring the unique dance between them in every moment.

  • I walk this path, too. Everything I offer comes from my own lived experience, deep study, and a heartfelt commitment to serve with authenticity and love.

Why we do this

  • Because too many mothers feel alone in the most sacred season of their life.

  • Because the early days are raw, messy, beautiful — and not meant to be navigated solo.

  • Because we both raised our children side by side in a village, and we know how powerful that kind of support is.

  • Because the postpartum time deserves reverence, not pressure.

  • Because we believe when a mother is held, the whole family thrives.
